Privacy policy

The short version: we collect what we need to ship your order and answer your email. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. You can have it all deleted by sending one email.
What we collect
- Order details — name, shipping address, email, phone if you give one, and what you bought.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment processor. Card numbers never touch our servers and we never see them.
- Email address if you sign up for the newsletter.
- Basic analytics — pages viewed, rough location by country, and what kind of device. Aggregated, not tied to your name.
- Support correspondence — the emails you send us and our replies.
What we do with it
Ship your order, answer your questions, process returns and warranty claims, send the newsletter if you asked for it, and work out which products people actually want. That is the whole list.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not build profiles on you across other websites.
Who else touches your data
Only companies that need it to do a job for us: the payment processor, the shipping carriers, our email provider, and our analytics provider. Each is contractually limited to that job.
Cookies
This site uses browser storage to remember what is in your cart and which promo code you applied. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Analytics use one first-party cookie. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep things
Order records for seven years, because tax law requires it. Support emails for two years. Newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Analytics for 14 months.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we will honour these: ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, or tell us to stop emailing you. Email hello@benchies.com and we will action it within 30 days, usually within a few days.
Deleting everything means we lose your order history, which means we cannot process a warranty claim later. We will say so before we do it.
Children
This is not a site for children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this in a way that matters, we will email anyone on the list and date-stamp the update at the top.
